A Family’s Journey Back to Stability

Recently, NOAH had the privilege of supporting a family of seven from Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Like so many households, they faced unexpected financial hardship after the loss of a loved one. Their father, who ran a construction business, struggled with grief and had to step away from work. With the family relying solely on one income, their mortgage payments quickly became overwhelming.

When they came to NOAH, their monthly mortgage was nearly $6,000, which became an unsustainable burden. Our team worked closely with their lender, Lakeview Loan Servicing, to explore modification options. By January 2025, we were able to help the family secure a permanent loan modification that reduced their payment by almost $850 a month. This not only brought their mortgage current but also gave them long-term financial relief.

Today, their father has successfully restarted his construction company, and the family is regaining financial stability. Most importantly, they can continue building their future in the home they love.

Why This Work Matters

Stories like this are at the heart of NOAH’s mission. Every day, we meet families who are navigating hardships, such as job loss, medical issues, or other unexpected life changes, that put their homes at risk. By providing expert counseling, direct advocacy with lenders, and compassionate support, we help keep families housed and communities strong.
