Fundraising and Communications Unpaid Internship

Description of the Unpaid Internship:

We are currently seeking qualified and dedicated students to volunteer in our Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Department. Because this department only consists of two people, our interns have a wide range of responsibilities to choose from, including:

  • Grant writing and researching new funding opportunities
  • Assisting with social media campaigns
  • Helping to report program results to various funders
  • Conducting community outreaches to recruit volunteers for specific projects
  • Utilizing Excel to measure, analyze, and report project data.

Though this is an unpaid internship, it offers a valuable breadth and depth of experience that both for-profit and not-for-profit employers value as they consider you for jobs in the future. Finally, the work that we do at NOAH is a crucial service to the community. You will be providing support for programs that help disadvantaged children and youth, keep families in their homes or find new affordable homes, teach new immigrants English to increase their employment prospects, and promote environmental restoration in low-income communities. We look forward to hearing from you; there is much work to be done and many challenges for us to creatively overcome.

  • Critical thinking and strategic planning skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
